Slip into the reveries of classical Venice... A point-and-click puzzler for the artistically inclined.

Developed by: Abhishek Biswas, Caroline Chiou, Justin Camden, Maria Ferreri, Maureen Wang

This point-and-click narrative puzzle game is set against the backdrop of a pair of paintings by Venetian Renaissance artist Vittore Carpaccio, namely Hunting on The Lagoon (recto) and Letter Rack (verso). Over the ages, parts of the dual-sided painting have been lost and rediscovered, lending it a rich and unique history. The player is figuratively "locked" in the Letter Rack and left with material clues to help them discover the nature of the painting. By uncovering notes concealed throughout the space, the context surrounding the art unravels in the quest for a missing part of the canvas.

Locked In The Letter Rack began development in February 2016 during the Getty [Center] Game Jam as a means of exploring the unique intersection between games and art. I acted in the capacity of lead programmer on the project. The game was developed in Unity Engine and programmed in C#.
